Total E&P Netherlands B.V. contracts EDT Shipmanagement Ltd Cyprus for Walk-to-Work / Flotel services
EDT PROTEA enters Walk-to-Work Arena
Limassol, Republic of Cyprus:
EDT Shipmanagement Ltd today announces a new contract award by Total Exploration & Production Nederland B.V. following a successful competitive Tender carried out in 2020. EDT Shipmanagement Ltd will provide Walk-to-Work services with a project purposely enhanced ‘’EDT Protea’’ that shall feature a Safeway Seagull ® motion compensated gangway and include amongst other upgrades several project specific features that will enhance Total E&P Nederland’s offshore programme & overall experience. The packaged solution is a key element to Total E&P Nederland’s offshore maintenance programme in Dutch waters.

Features and benefits of the service include.
DP3 vessel with known station keeping capabilities and long pedigree on IMR / Diving & ROVSV Oil & Gas subsea scopes, single occupancy cabins for Total E&P Nederland’s offshore technicians, back deck enhancements to house a fully mobilised logistics offshore package for the maintenance period and last but not least a motion compensated gangway provided by Safeway for a seamless walk to work experience.
The service will commence in March 2021 and will run in periods throughout 2021 with options to extend into both 2022 & 2023.
