Participation in Search & Rescue Operations
Providing naval and air units for Search-and-Rescue Operations
EDT Offshore and the Ministry of Transport, Communications & Works of the Republic of Cyprus signed an agreement in 2014 for the provision of naval and air units during Search And Rescue (SAR) operations.
To this effect EDT has provided units since the establishment of this agreement for the following major SAR exercises:

This summer, Alex Dzaghigian, an award-winning 16-year-old Cypriot artist, is planning a Guinness World Record attempt for the ‘The largest drawing by an individual’.

Cyprus' 1st World Championship in Freediving
Co-organising Cyprus' 1st World Freediving Championship
In 2015, for the first time in the event’s history, the AIDA Individual Depth World Championship in freediving, was held in Cyprus with EDT Offshore providing some of its vessels and a specially-modified 500m2 barge to co-host the event.
Over 150 competitive free divers and their support teams came to Limassol, which was selected by AIDA officials ahead of Kalamata in Greece and other venues in the Caribbean.Discover more
